Tuition is spread out over a 10 month period (August 28, 2023 - June 15, 2024). There is no discounted rate for short months, nor is there an extra charge for months with 5 weeks. Please also note, CDT does NOT charge an additional fee to perform in our June recital.
Tuition payments are due by the FIRST DAY OF EACH MONTH FROM OCTOBER TO JUNE. NO EXCEPTIONS. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS
MONTHLY RECURRING PAYMENT:
Your credit card will always be charged between the 1st and the 4th of each month. An electronic receipt will automatically be sent to you via our Studio Director Management Program. Please be sure we have an accurate email address listed above.
A $25.00 Late Fee will be charged to your account after the 10th of each month. Students will NOT be allowed to take class or private lessons until delinquent accounts are paid in full. CDT reserves the right to refuse service to our school and/or our performances.
Only classes added mid-month will be eligible for prorated tuition.
MISSED CLASSES/MAKE - UPS:
There are no refunds for missed classes. Missed classes must be reported and made up in your level or one level lower within 4 weeks of absence or by the last date of the season; exceptions will be made if a doctor's note is provided. Make-up requests will not be honored for dropped classes. After 4 weeks your chance to make-up a class is forfeited. Make-up requests are NOT carried over into summer from the previous season and students may not use make-ups from their sibling's missed classes. To request a make-up class please fill out the Make Up Request Form on the CDT website. You must fill out a form PRIOR to taking a make-up class. Walk-in make-up classes are not permitted. Please fill out the form at least 72 hours PRIOR to the requested make-up class. You MUST receive an approval to attend the class. Walk-in, last minute or same day make-up requests are not permitted.
DROPPING A CLASS:
To drop a class, fill out a Drop Form. Your new tuition amount will be reflected in the next billing cycle on the 1st day of the NEXT calendar month. Drop requests MUST be completed before the first of the month in order for bookkeeping to recognize the change. Otherwise, you are responsible for full tuition until the end of the month in which the form is received.
ADDING A CLASS:
You can add a Non-Recital class any time of the year by logging on to Studio Director. Recital classes must be added by February 1.
California Dance Theatre directors and instructors are not liable for personal injuries or loss of, or damage to, personal property. Each student may decline to participate in any activity. Please inform instructor of any physical limitations you may have. NO food, gum, or drinks (except water) allowed in the studios!
LOST & FOUND
CDT is NOT responsible for lost or stolen money, shoes, clothing, jewelry, etc. Please label ALL dance shoes and clothing and do not leave dance bags or wallets in dressing rooms. Every 90 days, all unclaimed items will be donated to local charities.

Speak with the teacher to find a date and time which works for the student and the teacher.
See Darby at the front desk to check that space is available and reserve that time. Payment must be made at time of booking. We book based on the order we receive the request. (This is not your reserved time for the whole year). Teachers should submit their requests a week prior to the date you are trying to reserve.
We will require a 24 hour cancellation.
There are no makeups.
Student should come in early and warm up to be ready for their private lesson.
